First of all, hi everybody, I hope that everyone has a great weekend.
The profession I chose was social work, there's a somewhat funny story about it. When I was a kid I had to visit many psychologist because I had ADHD, I was very restless and, in that time, I felt that not too many of them actually did their job or care about helping.
So, my first choice when I was in High School was psychology. The pandemic and life happened, many things changed before I did the admission test (PDT) and the score helped me to get into social work in this university, or psychology in another one. I decided that I was going to study social work because I like the type of help they offered and how they intervene to benefit people in bad economic situations. Also, I like that I can work in a municipality, hospitals, schools, universities, consulting rooms, and much more places. They work field is very big and in every moment I can be helping people that really needs it, thats my objective and vocation in life.
And who knows, maybe in the future I can study psychology as well, but I think that I'm going to cross that bridge when I get there.

That's so nice. I like a lot your career. I considered it too. Hope you can study psychology someday!

ResponderBorrarhello what an interesting career, I hope you can meet all your expectations
ResponderBorrarHello, I also hope you have a great weekend. I think you are quite right, many psychologists do not know how to do their job or help, I suppose it is because of their training.
ResponderBorrarSocial work is a career that is strongly committed to social problems, which requires a lot of soft skills in order to deal with people from differents walks of life.
